EMR University Course 201
ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION (EMR) WORKSHOP
Provided by the International Institute for Bau-Biologie & Ecology
EMR 201 Electromagnetic Radiation Workshop
This is a continuation of your EMR university training for the Consultancy Track. Because of a great
number of practical experiences, we have learned that electromagnetic radiation (EMR) influences the
well being of people both at home and at work. It is of great importance to understand the basics of
EMR, so that people can help themselves, and avoid the numerous bad effects associated with EMR.
The theory of EM radiation is demonstrated with practical examples and case studies, based on actual
inspections. Particular emphasis is placed on the bedroom, as that is where occupants spend a great
deal of time and the body rejuvenates. The instruments and protocols used in the detection procedure
are explained, along with basic abatement techniques so one can also learn how to discuss these
techniques with clients and professional technicians. Topics include:
· Fundamental definitions of energy and how electricity is a special class of energy
· Definition of AC electric and magnetic fields and Radio Frequency fields
· Measurement of EMR and source identification
· Basic mitigation techniques
Resources: On-line module Electromagnetic Radiation
Time requirement: 2 days
Prerequisites: EMR 101, On-line module Electromagnetic Radiation (IBE 204.2)
--Specific Information on location and schedules will be provided at a later date to the email address provided during the purchase.--
Workshop Schedule:
Session 1
- Overview of the Electromagnetic Spectrum
- Static electric & magnetic fields
- AC Electric & Magnetic Fields
- Terminology
- Common Sources
- EMR Inspection Protocol
Session 2
- Overview of Radio Frequency
- Terminology
- Common Sources
- EMR Inspection Protocol
Session 3
- Basic mitigation techniques
- Discussion of neutralizing devices available
- Lab: Measurement/Detection
All protocols and acceptance standards will follow IBE guidelines. Basic knowledge of the electromagnetic spectrum and terminology is assumed, as well as successful completion of the
IBE on-line study module – Electromagnetic Radiation.
It is NOT possible with a two-day seminar to properly address the issues of the electromagnetic
spectrum and mitigation techniques; however, this course is designed to provide the student with a
general understanding of the holistic issues associated with EMR.
Includes all the above courses for the listed price.
